Adadot is an online team management platform, that provides insights into teams’ productivity, well-being, and project outcomes using an algorithm and real team analysis to analyze how teams are working. I worked as a UX design lead for a period over the summer of 2020, where I worked on designing core functions such as project management and the ‘brief signoff’ process for the web-based marketing platform. Using UX design methodologies and tools such as Invision studio I created designs that incorporated existing design choices made by the company to keep consistency, while ensuring the design was functional, allowing users to complete the task that was required of that function.
Briefs
The brief designs were inspired by traditional paper folder files, I took the format and altered it to fit the light beige and green colours of the site to ensure consistency all around, whilst ensuring that the information found was centered and provided enough space for various brief types. The closed version provides a snapshot of what a client or team will be working with, while the expanded provides a timeline and the ability to interact with the brief through three buttons
Brief sign-off process
The brief sign-off process is what occurs whilst a brief is being made, once it has been accepted or rejected. The details overview (1) allows for an expert to fill in the key details entailing the brief to provide an overview of what is required. They can then use the toggle on the top right to set all milestones that will be needed, including the date, price, and repeat billing (2) for whether the team handling the brief will be working on that milestone again and need to be paid on a rolling basis. If accepted (3) the team can send amendments to the expert, which are highlighted in red (4). If the expert is happy with the amendments, it is sent back again to the team for a response (3). Once accepted or rejected a pop-up confirmation will appear (5).
Project management
The project management acts as the hub of the project brief. Here the new project overview allows for a simple yet effective layout, where all teams members can be found for easy contact. While any upcoming deadlines/milestones are displayed on the right-hand side to keep the team up to date. A new collapsable menu helps keep the focus of what’s on the page, rather than taking up valuable space. The messages use the existing default chat feature, just integrated into the new design, likewise the assets and project brief use the default styles only merged into the new minimal layout.
