Punjabi Female Forum

The Punjabi female forum is a sub-group of the mental health organisation known as Taraki. I worked with the three founders to come up with a potential design for their new website that would act as the new hub of the forum, for information regarding next forum dates, resources for Punjabi females and their mental well being, and overall be vital in spreading awareness of the organisation and their work. I tackled this task by first researching and gathering information about the forum’s target group, in order to better understand who would be using the site and what sort of layouts, information, and resources would be appropriate and easy to understand for them given their mental well-being background.
Once I gathered all the necessary information and design feature the founders were interested in, I began wire-framing and pitching ideas to the founders and finding overlapping areas with what they wanted and what I found the users needed. I then designed multiple pages for the forum creators, choosing and then tailoring them to their criteria for a modern and up-to-date site. The key aspect here was simplicity, the users needed to be informed and not overwhelmed thus I chose a clear layout with minimal colours and large text, to prevent distraction. I ensured brand visibility by utilising the Taraki (parent Company) logo on all pages and images that represented the Punjabi Female Forum. And finally provided a simple contact form linked to the official Taraki email for users to send their queries to.
